A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Preparation, in plain English.

What does merchant account readiness mean here?

It means organizing the information that helps you explain your business to a processing provider. The checker identifies preparation tasks from your answers. It does not verify your records, evaluate creditworthiness, or tell you whether a bank will approve you.

What documents should I gather before applying?

Start by organizing your business and ownership details, selling website or social presence, customer policies, and a clear description of what you sell and how you deliver it. If you already process payments, locate the statements your provider requests. Exact requirements depend on your business and provider. See the merchant account application checklist for a fuller guide.

Can I use this for a startup or a high-risk business?

Yes. The preparation questions accommodate businesses with and without processing history, recurring billing, and delayed fulfillment. That does not establish eligibility for any account. A provider will review your particular business, activity and documentation.

Does completing the checklist guarantee approval?

No. A completed checklist is a preparation aid. Account approval, pricing, reserves and funding terms depend on the provider’s review and written agreement.

Are my answers sent to NUMUS or saved?

No. The checker runs in your browser and keeps its answers in this tab’s memory only. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Reloading clears your choices. If you request a processing review, you enter your contact and business information separately.
